The latest web technologies (Asp.net mvc, jQuery, json, Ajax, etc) are used to make Sales and Illustrations a true Rich Internet Application(RIA), offering an intuitive, attractive and responsive user experience.

Easy to understand, attractive reports help agents emphasize up-sell and cross-sell opportunities. Equisoft’s extended experience with XSL-FO and Ecrion’s XF-Rendering engine allows generating reports of unmatched quality. All tables and graphics gernated are vectorial, using SVG standards, ensuring the best quality.

Interoperability

All interactions with other systems, such as Oracle Policy Administration (OPA), are performed through ACORD messaging. This enforces decoupling and message standardization, making integration with virtually any system easier.

A common calculation engine and configuration rules are shared between illustration, underwriting and policy administration, ensuring accuracy and speed to market.

Straight-through Processing

Equisoft’s eApplication gives the user the ability to apply for the policy in real time. eApplication allows configurators to define dynamic web questionnaires used to request all application information and fill PDF application forms. Electronic signature solutions, such as DocuSign, can also be integrated.

The user interface can be easily customized for every product. UI components (e.g. a rider list/detail component) can be reused and rearranged in different products. This greatly speeds up the creation of the UI for a new product similar to an existing one.

Online and offline: same application!

For the offline version, the web application is hosted and displayed in a desktop application.

To avoid installation, connectivity and security issues, no local web server is installed on the desktop. The asp.net engine is directly embedded into the desktop application.
Automatic application, calculation rules, interest rates updates when connection is available.

Disconnected Calculation Engine

Equisoft’s disconnected version of Oracle’s calculation engine extends the concept of a common calc engine to desktop applications. The disconnected calc engine factory generates and compiles C# code from the Policy Administration calculation rules. The resulting DLLs are used in-process by the desktop version of Sales and Illustrations, ensuring speed and accuracy. Those DLLs are part of the desktop application updates so that any changes to the online rules are reflected on each agent’s machine.

Handheld device version

The web version provides views defined for handheld devices, making it possible to create a quote from a blackberry, IPhone or other connected device.
