Pre-Sales Consultant

Reporting to Vice President of Insurance, the Sales Support Consultant is a key member of the sales team responsible for supporting the business and technical sales strategies for EquiSoft’s products and services.  If you enjoy working in a dynamic team environment, public speaking and a valued challenge, send us your resume!

A Day In Your Life

  • Provide essential pre-sales and sales services to potential and new clients
  • Prepare and adapt demonstration presentations to for clients’ needs throughout the sales cycle
  • Expand and maintain effective knowledge of markets, competition, products and strategies specific to group and individual life insurance and annuities
  • Collaborate with the sales team in assuring territory performance, all sales activities, client satisfaction, and execution of business plans
  • Perform solo and/or team level sales presentations to all levels of personnel, including C Level and other senior level insurance executives
  • Develop, design and deploy presales processes as part of the overall sales pursuit
  • Provide expertise in Request for Proposals (RFP) phase and questions arising during the sales process
  • Assist in maintaining the Sales “production ready” demo environments, which includes managing the process to install updates and ancillary software as required


  • University Degree or Diploma in a relevant field
  • 2+ years proven experience in pre-sales, sales consulting or as a sales engineer
  • Prior insurance industry experience (preferred in life & annuities)
  • Good knowledgeof Web Technologies/Environment
  • Knowledge of the insurance or financial services industries is a strong asset (seems like a duplicate of the 3rd bullet above)
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English
  • Proven presentation skills to a wide variety of audiences
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, able to explain concepts and product solutions
  • Knowledge of French or Spanish is an asset
  • Position requires frequent travel
