Equisoft Completes Internationally Recognized SSAE 18 Certification

Press Release

Montréal, April 16, 2019 - Equisoft proudly announced having successfully completed its certification for the Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (or SSAE) 18 SOC 2. The SSAE 18 audit is designed to help a service company's customers understand the internal controls that are in place to meet corporate governance best practices, such as the Sarbanes- Oxley Act (SOX), and to demonstrate that the company has adequate safeguards when hosting or processing client data.

Earning this certification positions Equisoft very favorably to perform cloud-based, value-added services for small to large companies in any region of the globe, host those clients on Equisoft's servers, and manage and process their data in complete safety.

"We operate in an industry where the security and confidentiality of client data is of utmost importance," said Steeve Michaud, Vice President and COO at Equisoft. "The successful completion of our SSAE 18 certification is evidence that the integrity of our operating procedures and the quality of our technology are world class."

The SSAE 18 certification covers all of Equisoft's web-based front-end applications available for insurance and wealth management companies (InsuranceElements, WealthElements, RuleStudio, Kronos Finance, Kronos FNA, RetireWare), as well as its turnkey SaaS offering Equisoft Composite.

Equisoft Composite is a cloud-based solution that supports all insurance product lines. It includes advisor-facing modules such as needs analysis, illustrations and sales strategies, electronic applications, as well as online claims and servicing through a self-service portal. All of these modules integrate seamlessly with the back-office system Oracle Insurance Policy Administration for Life and Annuity, currently recognized as the best policy administration platform on the market.
