The event started off with Equisoft’s CEO, Luis Romero’s presentation on the future of the life insurance industry. Luis emphasized the importance of modernization in enhancing distribution and increasing access to life insurance worldwide. During his presentation, Luis Romero articulated Equisoft's vision of creating a world where financial services are efficient, sustainable, and accessible. His powerful message conveyed how this vision will help make financial services more accessible worldwide and improve people’s financial health and security.
Innovating the customer experience through design thinking #
The interactive keynote session on innovating the customer experience through design thinking was a dynamic and engaging workshop led by Kerry Bodine, co-author of Outside In: The Power of Putting Customers at the Center of Your Business and CEO of Bodine & Co. In her engaging presentation, she revealed new approaches to building engagement, increasing productivity, and creating value. Distributors had the unique opportunity to put her model into practice, participating in hands-on exercises that allowed them to experience how they can harness the power of empathy, prototyping, and testing as part of a new decision-making process in their businesses. The session empowered attendees with new tools to leverage when considering CX enhancements and distribution optimization strategies within their organizations.
Agency and advisor solutions learning session and industry roundtable #
Following the keynote, attendees were presented with a product learning session on Equisoft’s Agency Management System and CRM. The presentation showcased the latest developments in agency and advisor solutions and previewed planned new functionality.
Lastly, Equisoft’s AVP software development, Grace Apea took the stage, leading an insightful roundtable discussion on the power of technology, data, and design thinking in improving life insurance distribution.
Distributors in attendance were guided through a wide-ranging discussion that centered around key questions such as:
- What are the most valuable aspects of a broker to their advisors?
- What are the most challenging aspects of your relationship with your advisors?
- Which technology would make your company more efficient if you implemented it?
- What are the most challenging aspects of your carrier’s commission management process? And,

The responses to these questions generated lively discussion. Attendees explored how refining processes like commission accounting or new business submission can improve the advisor experience, how technology can streamline sales and service, and how data shared between stakeholders can improve agency performance.
